The element-i childcare centre Grünschnabel is located in an ‘apartment building’ in an urban environment with close links to the Durlach industrial estate.
The numerous, spacious and bright rooms offer sufficient space for a wide variety of functional areas for the children. Each room has access to the beautiful large outdoor area. Here the children can play extensively and climb on a wooden tipi. They can plant fruit, vegetables and herbs in their own raised bed and harvest and snack depending on the season.
The centre cooperates with the Diversity in Sport and Culture Club Karlsruhe (“Verein Vielfalt in Sport und Kultur Karlsruhe”). This gives the children the opportunity to take part in sports programmes and swimming lessons.
Depending on the childcare model, the children at Grünschnabel receive breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. The food is prepared daily on site by the day-care centre’s own cook according to the element-i nutritional concept.
