Individual and interest-oriented
In the Freie element-i Grundschule im Technido (elementary school), we respect the students in their learning autonomy and support them in their ambition to learn. We give them the greatest possible freedom, but we set the necessary limits that they need for optimal development.
Our learning offers consist of impulses that are brought in by children and educators alike. The children decide independently what they want to do, play and learn. You actively control your personal learning process with the help of learning conferences and learning world maps. They are accompanied by our educators and receive targeted assistance and feedback on their performance level.
Learn today what is important tomorrow
The advancing digitization is changing our society and presenting even the youngest with completely new challenges. They have to learn to act independently and, more than ever, they need skills such as creativity, technical understanding, change tolerance and resilience for their future working environment. In element-i pedagogy, these competencies are specifically developed in that our students control their individual learning process independently and learn based on their interests. With our MINT-oriented educational offer, we also keep an eye on future topics such as programming, the Internet and artificial intelligence.
The Freie element-i Grundschule (elementary school) in the Bildungshaus Karlsruhe
In addition to the Freie element-i Grundschule, the element-i Kinderhaus Technido, the element-i Gemeinschaftsschule (community school) and the FDFP – Freie Duale Fachakademie für Pädagogik (Academy for Pedagogy) are located under the umbrella of the element-i Bildungshaus. The schools, the day care center and the specialist academy work closely together on an educational and organizational level.
All rooms are friendly, bright and spacious. In various functional areas, the children have the opportunity to concentrate on their interests – to play music or read, romp or sleep, to build, to do handicrafts and to research.
The facility, which is open all day, offers 150 places for children between the ages of six months and ten years.
Fresh and regional food is prepared for the school every day. The children in the all-day facility receive a breakfast buffet in the morning, hot food at lunchtime and a snack in the afternoon.
- School fees: 167 euros
- Costs for voluntary participation in all-day care: 186 euros
- Full board (breakfast, lunch and Vespers): 120 euros
The holistic concept of our element-i schools provides for the dovetailing of school and afternoon care and thus participation in all-day operations.
