Our holiday workshops provide child care over the holiday period for school-age children and their younger siblings. These are held during the 2019 summer holidays, usually in partnership with businesses in the area. The holiday workshop schemes are developed by young people for even younger people. Qualified educators lead the holiday period care service, while students organise workshops on a variety of topics. The children also gain intriguing perspectives into the inner workings of businesses, research institutions and cultural organisations.
The objective is to offer children an attractive programme to keep them busy over the holiday period, partly in order to satisfy the children’s natural curiosity and need for adventure, partly also to provide them with a well-deserved holiday with leisure activities.
Our workshops are centred around three global themes, for which we also offer excursions and which children are free to choose from as they wish:
- Performance arts, sports and exercise
- Technology, nature and crafts
- Culture, art, music and theatre
