The element-i child care centre Finkenburg has been open for children aged between six months and six years since April 2014. The day care centre is located in Waiblingen in Körber Höhe in a well-lit eco-building made of wood. 65 boys and girls have the opportunity to enjoy bright, modern rooms, a stimulating environment, care with all the necessary emotional support and an educational concept that supports and challenges children as they learn and play at Finkenburg.
The rooms of the child care centre are designed to be completely well-lit, with the floors and many lightly-coloured wooden elements on the walls and ceilings making for a welcoming atmosphere among the children and carers. The day care centre also offers fully equipped themed areas.
A large garden around the child care centre offers the children enough space to move around outdoors and experience the natural environment with each of their senses. The garden also includes a tipi made of willow as well as many elements from nature such as raised beds, natural paths and things to climb on. This provides the children with the ideal conditions to indulge their natural urge to explore and discover and to develop their own skills.
All-day opening hours provide parents with the planning flexibility they need to harmonise family life with professional obligations. The children are provided with complete and healthy meals with seasonal and regional products prepared in the institution’s own kitchen.
The element-i child care centre Finkenburg is available to children whose primary place of residence is in Waiblingen.
