The element-i Königskinder child care centre has been open for children aged between six months and six years since April 2014. The child care centre is located in the Munich ward of Sendling and offers a total of 86 care places, of which 36 are nursery places and 50 are playgroup places. The day care centre is located on the ground floor of a new development and is easily accessible with public transportation.
Königskinder offers very well-lit, generously sized themed rooms and learning spaces that offer children a cosy and warm environment. The themed rooms such as the Atelier, the Workshop, the Role-Playing Room, the Building Room, the Laboratory, our little library and the Crawlers’ Nest with platform and beech logs are the ideal implementation of our educational philosophy. The rooms encourage the children to indulge their urge to explore and discover.
The child care centre also features a garden. Also of particular note is the large play area in the hallway, where a large part of the wall can be used for creativity, something which the children are all too happy to do. An exercise room with a climbing wall and boulder wall also provides opportunities for the children to go wild. Various modules are hung on the wall and from the ceiling (rope ladder, climbing net, hammock, swing, etc.).
The central location in the city allows the care team and children to undertake many trips out and excursions to explore all their environment has to offer. The children especially enjoy visiting the playground near the day care centre with the carers.
The institution’s own cook prepares delicious meals every day from fresh, local and seasonal ingredients. Depending on the care model, children are provided with breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.
Please register your child for the element-i Königskinder child care centre directly through Munich’s child care portal “kita finder+”.
