The element-i Neckarsterne child care centre was opened in January 2016. The day care centre is situated in the Neckarwiesen commercial district. It is possible for businesses to reserve places for their workforce at the day care centre. The facility offers space for 65 children: 35 nursery places for children aged three months to three years and 30 playgroup places for children aged three to six years.
The architecture of the building is geared directly towards the element-i educational philosophy and the rooms are designed based on the needs of the children. The two-storey building is constructed using solid materials and the façades are all facing south. Large windows and generously sized, tall group rooms allow plenty of light to enter. There are three beautiful and grassy interior courtyards. A greenery on the roof is also planned.
All-day opening hours and the ability to book care times flexibly provide parents with the planning freedom they need to harmonise family life with professional obligations. The institution’s own cook prepares delicious meals every day from fresh, local and seasonal ingredients. Depending on the care model, children are provided with breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.
