The element-i Reinsburg child care centre in Stuttgart was established in August 2013 and conceived as both a nursery and day care centre. It offers space and care for 85 children aged between six months and six years. Places are reserved for children of employees of Allianz, TransnetBW and Credit Plus.
To enable us to offer our children a diverse range of rooms for different experiences, we regularly incorporate nearby park facilities – such as the Karlshöhe here – into the child care centre’s routine, especially in connection with the usually urban environment of the child care centres in Stuttgart. The central location in the city encourages the team and children to take many trips out.
The premises of the child care centre are brightly lit and include an Atelier, the Workshop, the Exercise Room, the Building Room, the Role-Playing Room and the Reading Room. This allows the children to mature and develop freely in line with their interests. In the garden area with its diverse range of opportunities for play, children are encouraged to engage with nature and move about in ways that interest them.
Fresh meals are prepared each day in almost every element-i child care centre. Breakfast, lunch and a snack are provided as needed.
Encouraging familiarity with the parents is important in the urban environments. Unlike rural communities, parents here seldom know each other. This is why at the Reinsburg child care centre, every effort is made to ensure that a trust-based relationship is established between the parents, educators and of course the children.
