On January 1, 2024, the element-i Kinderhaus Silberschiff will open in Goethestraße in Schwäbisch Gmünd. It offers space for 30 children aged 0 to 6 years.

The architecture in the building of the former kindergarten will be adapted to the element-i pedagogy. The 300 square meters of space offer enough room for the children to live out their urge to move, meet, explore and discover. The various functional areas in the bright rooms are geared to the needs of the children – as is the selection of toys. In the spacious and well-shaded garden, the children have the opportunity to explore nature on their own two feet. A slide, a swing, a sandbox and other playground equipment are available to them for this purpose.

The care time in the Kinderhaus is a maximum of nine hours per day. The Kinderhaus has 25 closing days per year.

Please note: Initially, we will not be able to offer 30 places for new arrivals. However, we are very happy to welcome all children and the team of the former Weleda company daycare center in the new premises.

The city of Schwäbisch Gmünd has its own online registration and administration system. Since our systems are not compatible, we ask that you also register your child there: www.schwaebisch-gmuend.de.

Our element-i pedagogy 

The “i” in element-i stands for our fundamental understanding of education: individual, interest-oriented and interactive. We want to educate children to become self-confident, strong individuals who are capable of living in a community. We accompany this developmental path in the daycare center through sensitive interaction and diverse, stimulating experiences – individually as well as through joyful experiences in the larger community.
