The element-i childcare centre Spielzeit is the in-house childcare centre of the Stuttgart State Theatre and is located above the Staatsgalerie.
On the premises of the centre, children will find many exciting corners that invite them to experiment, build, dress up, dance or make music. This allows the children to develop and discover their environment through play. Exploring the surroundings outside the childcare centre, such as parks, forests, nature playgrounds, theatres and museums, is also a regular part of Spielzeit.
The cook is an important member of the team, as he not only prepares breakfast, lunch and snacks every day, but also involves the children in his daily work by talking about nutrition and cooking. His work is therefore an important part of the element-i nutritional concept.
As in all other element-i centres, the element-i pedagogy is also used at Spielzeit. This means that the children are given stimuli in various areas to arouse their interest and trigger an independent learning process.
