The element-i Sportkita Wirbelwind child care centre is located directly near the Fächerbad swimming pool facility in Karlsruhe and the SSC Karlsruhe sports club and is a recognised sports playgroup of the Landessportverband Baden-Württemberg e.V. (Baden-Württemberg State Sports Association). The day care centre is available to children from Karlsruhe as well as children of employees of the member companies of Kind und Beruf e.V.
The well-lit, two-storey building incorporates the various areas that children need to feel safe, to learn and to move – for example, places to withdraw, rest and find peace & quiet, and places to find stimulation and exercise. These different areas are designed and furnished in line with the latest findings of educational research and to meet our work methods. We have integrated features aimed at encouraging exercise in particular. The appealing exercise room and the large gymnasium of the SSC, which are an integral part of the day care centre’s premises, are available to the children of the Sportkita.
Another highlight of the Sportkita Wirbelwind is the generously sized outdoor area, which is directly adjacent to the sports area of the SSC. The children can use this to go wild, play and explore.
Breakfast, lunch and a snack are offered to the children each day.

Please register through the website of the City of Karlsruhe (https://kita.karlsruhe.de/) and through our own registration form when enquiring about a child care placement. This two-step process is unfortunately necessary. Thank you for your understanding.
