The element-i childcare centre Sterngucker has been located in a quiet residential area of Karlsruhe-Mühlburg since March 2010.
The bright rooms in the childcare centre are designed to stimulate the children, offer plenty of variety and also invite them to relax. A highlight is the large, naturally grown garden area. Together with the Oberer See e.V. allotment garden association, the children and team have also launched the ‘Kita-Kleingarten’ cooperation project. A disused allotment plot was transformed into an educational garden for the children as well as an inclusive meeting place for the citizens of Mühlburg.
Another special feature is our native speakers, who offer the children their first experience of the Spanish language. Co-operations with the Rennbuckel School, the socio-educational residential home in Karlsruhe and the Christian-Griesbach-Haus as well as numerous excursions to the forest, the zoo, the swimming pool or to cultural institutions offer the children a wide range of opportunities to meet others.
Our cook at the childcare centre prepares delicious meals every day using fresh, regional and seasonal ingredients. Depending on the childcare model, the children receive breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.
