The element-i Sterngucker child care centre has been located in a quiet part of the Mühlburg ward of Karlsruhe since March 2010. The day care centre offers 55 places for children aged between six months and six years. Parents can choose between different care models: all-day, half-day or a 30-hour weekly arrangement.
The day care centre is situated in a well-lit, two-storey building. There are rooms here to provide children with challenges and stimulation, but also opportunities for relaxation. One of the highlights is the large, naturally developed garden.
A special feature of this facility is our Spanish native speakers, our STEM specialist, our partnerships with the Rennbuckel School, the Karlsruhe Children’s Care Home and the Christian Griesbach House in Karlsruhe. The child care centre’s network and the numerous trips out to the forest, zoo, swimming pool, music & dance school or to cultural institutions in Karlsruhe offer the children a diverse range opportunities to experience people and social matters.
Our cook at the Sterngucker child care centre prepares tasty meals on a daily basis from fresh, local and seasonal ingredients, based on the element-i dietary concept. Depending on the care model, children are provided with breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.

Please register through the website of the City of Karlsruhe (https://kita.karlsruhe.de/) and through our own registration form when enquiring about a child care placement. This two-step process is unfortunately necessary. Thank you for your understanding! The Sterngucker child care centre is available to children resident in Karlsruhe, with priority given to children in the wards of Mühlburg and Weststadt.
