The element-i child care centre Wieslauf-Käpsele is located in Schorndorf, on the ground floor of the building on Wieslaufweg 8, close to the sports facilities and the mouth of the river Rems. The beautiful parks and natural shore of the Wieslauf River invite children to go on excursions and tours to explore the natural environment and to satisfy their desire for exercise. We offer 30 places for children aged 1 to 6.
We consider inclusion to be an attitude and we approach diversity with acceptance and appreciation. That is why we will actively participate in the language support programmes for daycare centres and schools of the city of Schorndorf (Schorndorf language concept). In order to allow children to experience social space, we also cooperate with Schorndorf clubs and nearby sports facilities.
The layout of the rooms corresponds to our element-i concept with large windows that let a lot of light into the high rooms. When furnishing the well-equipped functional rooms, we focus primarily on natural materials and the needs of the children. The large outdoor area offers many opportunities to encourage the children to move around, explore and discover.
Our nutritional concept includes using high-quality and, whenever possible, regional and seasonal products, which are freshly prepared every day in the child care centre’s own kitchen. The children get breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.
Registrations are now possible via the daycare centre portal Little Bird of the city of Schorndorf.
Our element-i educational philosophy
The “i” in element-i stands for our fundamental understanding of education and upbringing: individual, interest-oriented and interactive. We want to educate children to become confident, strong individuals with a sense of community. At the daycare centre, we accompany this developmental path with sensitive interaction and diverse, stimulating experiences – individually as well as through joyful experiences in the large community.
