We are the element-i WiKi childcare centre in the Competence Park Friedrichshafen – a warm and welcoming place for babies, toddlers and preschool-aged children. Our rooms are designed to help children settle in, feel safe and discover their world step by step.
Our marketplace is the central meeting point of the childcare centre. This is where we eat together, meet throughout the day and experience a sense of community. From here, the children can access our various functional rooms. In the building room, they construct and create, while the exercise room gives them plenty of opportunities to climb, move around and test their abilities. In the role-play room, everyday situations come to life as the children take on new roles and gain valuable social experiences.
Our workshop is a particularly special place. Here, the children create their own masterpieces by building, sawing and fastening materials together. They learn how to handle different materials and tools, develop their own ideas and experience the joy of making something with their own hands.
For our youngest children, there is the Crawlers’ Nest. This sheltered area provides them with a sense of security, comfort and guidance. Here, they can settle in at their own pace, build trusting relationships and gain their first experiences in a variety of learning areas.
Our outdoor play area can be accessed directly from the childcare centre. Whether they are running, climbing, playing with mud, observing nature or playing together, the children experience nature, movement and community with all their senses.
Early music education is another special feature of our childcare centre. Through singing, making music, moving and exploring rhythm, the children can express themselves, develop their creativity and experience music as something that brings people together.
Our cook prepares fresh breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks at the childcare centre every day, using regional, seasonal and balanced ingredients wherever possible. The children are introduced to food, cooking and nutrition in an age-appropriate way. In recognition of its nutrition-conscious approach, WiKi has been awarded the BeKi certificate by Baden-Württemberg’s state initiative for conscious child nutrition.
