The element-i child care centre Brenzbären is located in the centre of Giengen, on Ferdinand-Porsche-Strasse, right next to the Lina-Hähnle School. We offer 65 places, 20 for pre-kindergarten children and 45 for preschool children.
The architecture of the house is based on the element-i educational philosophy. The large windows of the two-storey building let plenty of light into the high rooms. We rely mainly on natural materials like wood for our furnishings and toys. The ground floor is occupied mostly by the under-three year-olds, the upper floor by the over-three year-olds. This allows younger and older children to have their own space to retreat. The children can pursue their interests in well-equipped functional rooms, for instance the gym, the creative workshop or the library.
Food is prepared fresh in our own kitchen every day. For this, we use only high-quality and, wherever possible, regional and seasonal products. Depending on the care package, children will get breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.
For optimal work-life balance, the daycare centre is open all day.
Our element-i educational philosophy
The “i” in element-i stands for our fundamental understanding of education and upbringing: individual, interest-oriented and interactive. We want to educate children to become confident, mature and strong individuals who reflect on themselves and the world and take responsibility for their actions.
