Our element-i child care centre Hans im Brück opened in Cologne-Brück in July 2021. We offer space for 130 children from the age of 6 months until they enter school.
Our daycare centre is located on Hans-Schulten-Strasse 16, on the right side of the Rhine in a residential area with a traffic-calmed zone. Important directions information: Please enter the street number 12 into your navigation system, as it will otherwise take you to the wrong corner.
The barrier-free architecture of the house is directly aligned with the element-i educational philosophy and the rooms are designed to meet the needs of the children. The two-and-a-half-storey building has large windows and spacious high group rooms that let in lots of light. The large outdoor area was left natural to give the children plenty of space to discover nature. There is a large playground nearby that we can visit with the children and we will also go on excursions to the Königsforst or explore the fields of the surrounding area.
Our nutritional concept includes using high-quality and, whenever possible, regional and seasonal products, which are freshly prepared by our cook every day in the child care centre’s own kitchen. Depending on the care package, children will get breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.
All-day opening hours and the possibility to book flexible childcare sessions give you the planning leeway you need to reconcile family and career.
Our element-i educational philosophy
The “i” in element-i stands for our fundamental understanding of education and upbringing: individual, interest-oriented and interactive. We want to educate children to become confident, mature and strong individuals who reflect on themselves and the world and take responsibility for their actions.
