The element-i childcare centre Villa Reitzensteinle is located in Gänsheide – a central district of Stuttgart – with excellent public transport connections and in the immediate vicinity of Villa Reitzenstein, the official residence of the Minister President of Baden-Württemberg. The places are available to children of employees of the Baden-Württemberg State Ministry. One place is reserved for children of employees of the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Justice. Remaining places can be taken by children of other state employees, primarily of the Ministry of Justice. Other unoccupied places can be allocated to children from the neighbourhood and, after that, to children whose primary residence is in Stuttgart.
The building was converted into a childcare centre with great attention to detail and offers the children plenty of space to develop and sufficient opportunities for quiet and undisturbed play and learning on three floors. The bright old building flair conveys a cosy and warm ambience. The children can realise their interests and strengths in numerous functional rooms. The children also have many opportunities to experience the outdoors, for example through free play in the outdoor area or on excursions due to the central location.
The cook is an important member of the team, as he not only prepares breakfast, lunch and snacks every day, but also involves the children in his daily work by talking about nutrition and cooking. His work is therefore an important part of the element-i nutritional concept.
