The element-i Bildungshaus Karlsruhe
Curiosity, joy, an inquisitive mind – these are the attributes that our offspring need for the challenges of life. This principle takes into account our element-i educational philosophy, which encourages and challenges each child according to their own interests. We have been successfully implementing our educational philosophy at our 40 element-i child care centres and primary schools for 20 years.
The initial push came from a parents’ initiative that motivated us to further develop our education and care concept and to plan a house of education. Our vision: Learning according to the element-i educational philosophy and without transitions – from daycare centre to graduation. This originated the idea of the first element-i Bildungshaus at the business location Karlsruhe, which opened in September 2019.

Since the school year 2019/2020, the element-i Bildungshaus Karlsruhe has been home to a child care centre, a primary school, a secondary school and a pre-school teacher technical college. A total of 670 children and adolescents are cared for and taught under the roof of the element-i Bildungshaus Karlsruhe. Grammar school is to be offered starting in school year 2023/24.
