Started as a parent initiative, the element-i Bildungshaus Karlsruhe has since pursued the vision of providing a holistic care and learning concept according to the element-i pedagogy: from nursery to school graduation – all under one roof. Since the 2019/2020 school year, the element-i Education Centre Karlsruhe has housed the element-i Kinderhaus Technido, the Free element-i Primary School, the Free element-i Community School, and the Freie Duale Fachakademie für Pädagogik (FDFP).
The Education Centre Karlsruhe remains a pioneering project for (the city and) the KONZEPT-E network, as it provides continuous education and care, ensuring an ideal balance between family life and work.
The Education Centre is located on the edge of the Technology Park at Konrad-Zuse-Straße 11–13 in Karlsruhe. The 6,850 m² site offers a large school playground, a cafeteria, and, in cooperation with SSC Karlsruhe, a diverse sports complex nearby. A total of 670 children and young people are cared for and/or taught here.
