Individual and interest-based – the element-i pedagogy at the element-i school
At the element-i school, we respect the pupils’ learning autonomy and support them in their eagerness to learn. In doing so, we provide them with as much freedom as possible while setting the necessary boundaries they need for optimal development. Our learning opportunities consist of impulses that are contributed equally by children and educators. The children actively shape their personal learning process with the help of learning conferences and learning world maps.
The STEM focus addresses topics of the future. In the arts subjects, we promote creative engagement with music, art, and culture.
In addition to learning within the school building, life and learning outside our doors also play a central role through a wide range of excursions. Museums, places in the neighbourhood or in nature, and other exciting learning venues are visited regularly.
An element-i Bildungshaus for Stuttgart
With the acquisition of the site on Ruppmannstraße in Stuttgart-Vaihingen, the foundation has been laid for the new element-i Bildungshaus Stuttgart. Once the new building has been completed, an element-i nursery, the element-i primary school, and the comprehensive school (with upper secondary level leading to the Abitur) will form a single unit under one roof.
